Biography

Wei-Chung Teng is professor of the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering at National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, where he has joined since 2003. He received a B.S. and a M.S. from National Chiao Tung University at Taiwan. Later He received his Doctor of Engineering degree from the University of Tokyo in 2001.
Prof. Teng served in National Communications Commission as a commissioner from 2018 to 2022. He contributed to especially 5G frequency band auction and 5G private network regulation loosening. His research interests span both network communication protocols and cybersecurity. Much of his work aiming on securing time synchronization protocols and improving the performance and precision of clock skew measurement over networks.
