Short Autobiography

I received my BS, MS, and Ph.D. degrees from the department of Computer Science and Information Engineering of the National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan, ROC, in 1999, 2001, and 2006, respectively. I am currently an assistant professor of Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering at National Taiwan University of Science and Technology. My research interests are mainly on flash-memory storage systems and real-time systems.

Research Field

My research interests are mainly on the designs of flash-memory management system. In recent years, flash memory becomes an essential storage component in embedded system because of its cost and performance. With the very different characteristics of flash memory, existing storage management designs could not be directly applied. The advance of manufacturing and software/hardware technology also introduce various challenging design issues! The objectives of my work are on the reliability and performance issues for flash-memory management.
